Designation

OFS officers typically begin their careers as  Assistant Treasury Officers  or  Financial Advisors  in various departments.

Responsibilities

  • Budgeting and Financial Planning : Assisting in the preparation and management of budgets for government departments and overseeing budget allocations.
  • Revenue Collection and Auditing : Overseeing revenue collection processes and conducting audits to ensure transparency in financial transactions.

Pay Structure

  •       Starting Salary : The starting salary for an OFS officer is in  Pay Level 12  under the 7th Pay Commission, with a basic salary of approximately  ₹56,100  per month, exclusive of allowances.
  •       Allowances : Officers are eligible for additional allowances, including Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Travel Allowance (TA), which vary based on the posting.
  •       Other Benefits : OFS officers receive benefits such as medical facilities, official accommodations, and retirement benefits like pension schemes.
